“Fi Glover interviews Jonathan Naess BBC R4 Saturday Live ”
Stand to Reason on Saturday Live, BBC Radio 4, 22 March 2008, Fi Glover interviews Jonathan Naess about his experiences, the impact of the current crisis in the financial sector and setting up Stand to Reason. Listen again to the radio programme on the BBC website link
One of the nicest things I have had the chance to do since founding Stand to Reason was chat to Fi Glover and her other guests last Saturday morning. I am a bit of a secret fan of the show, and was trying hard not to be too sycophantic (mainly reserved for the bits off air) but joyfully she put me terrifically at ease and apparently I sounded fairly “normal” which was the general idea. I wish I had her sense of humour, though, I think I could cope with anything.
The BBC are very keen to interview Stand to Reason members who have a particular story to tell of what worked for them in recovery. The more personal and inspiring the better for this brief. Please contact us at info@standtoreason.org.uk if you would like to join in and make a short 2 minute film for the VideoNation website link – it’s a great site if you don’t know it already, but for the moment they sadly lack any real archive of experiences from service-users.
You get to keep control of the content, but work collaboratively with a BBC producer, who seems very nice from the contact I have had with him. I do hope some of you will get involved. I can tell you I came out of the studio feeling a couple of inches taller.
